After his U.S. touring comes to an end December 16th, he will release the 'Hummingbird EP'

Alex Clare kicks off another round of U.S. touring Thursday at L.A.'s Henry Fonda Theater. He's hitting a number of major markets, doing his own shows as well as radio station holiday concerts. The day after his final U.S. show, December 16th in Seattle, he'll release the Hummingbird EP, featuring four versions of the song from The Lateness of the Hour. In addition to the album cut, there's a live version, a remix by deep house artist Lee Curtiss and a still-to-be-chosen remix submitted by a fan as part of a contest on Clare's website.
Clare makes a guest appearance on Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds: The New Generation, an update of the musical adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel that was wildly popular in the U.K. when it first came out in 1978. The new version, which hit stores British stores on Tuesday, also features Joss Stone. Liam Neeson is in the main role.
