Fall Out Boy is BACK!

It's been just over three years since Fall Out Boy stepped away from the music scene with an indefinite hiatus, causing fans to wonder if they'd ever hear from the band again. But this morning the guys announced their triumphant return, releasing a new single and tour dates ahead of a new album due out in May. Fall Out Boy, made up of Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley, made the announcement from their hometown of Chicago at the site of the original Comiskey Park, the location of Disco Demolition Night in 1979.

"My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)" is the first song from new album Save Rock And Roll, slated for a May 7, 2013 release - the ten year anniversary of their 2003 studio debut,  Take This To Your Grave.

In a post on their website, the band writes:

when we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn't a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.

the future of fall out boy starts now.

save rock and roll...
