Welsh rockers Lostprophets are officially calling it quits.
The band announced the split via Facebook Tuesday, less than two months before the start of frontman Ian Watkins' trial on more than 20 charges of sexual offenses involving children.
Watkins' bandmates say they've spent the past year coming to terms with their "heartache." They say they've seen the end coming for some time now, but finally feel ready to officially announce that they "can no longer continue making or performing music as Lostprophets."
The band got its start back in 1997, and released their fifth and final album, Weapons, last year. They end their statement by thanking fans for all the love and support they've received over the past 15 years.
Watkins' trial, meanwhile, is scheduled to begin November 25th in Cardiff, Wales. BBC News says it's expected to last about a month.
