Meat Loaf underwent knee surgery on Monday. A photo caption on his Facebook page says:

"Thank you everyone for the thoughts, prayers and love you’ve been sending for Meat... He’ll be checking out for two weeks while he starts the recovery process, but we’ll endeavor to step into his Facebook shoes and keep you updated on his progress and all other happenings. We know he loves and appreciates his fans and is incredibly thankful to have such an overwhelming amount of support and good will for his recovery!"

Following his recovery, Meat will go back to working on his next album as well as getting ready for what he says will be his last tour next year.

We wish Meat Loaf a very speedy recovery.
