Bon Jovi is starting on top.  Billboard.com says the New Jersey rockers' latest album, What About Now, sold a better than projected 101-thousand copies in its first week out to debut on the Billboard 200 at number one. 

It's the band's third consecutive chart-topping disc, and their twelfth studio effort to peak in the top ten on the chart.  David Bowie's first album in a decade is having settle with the runner up spot.  The Next Day is entering the list at number two, with a slightly less-than-expected first week sales total of 85-thousand.  Original sales estimates for both Bowie and Bon Jovi were at 90-thousand. 

Eric Clapton is making a top ten debut as well with his new album.  Old Sock is bowing on the list at number seven with sales of 37-thousand.  Dave Grohl's Sound City soundtrack is following at number eight with just under 37-thousand copies sold.  Sound City - Real to Reel features contributions from a number of stars, including Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney.
